The Story

The Little Pilgrim Goes Up Higher continues the experiences of the Little Pilgrim in the Afterlife. She explores a beautiful city and the villages outside it. And a very personal joy is awaiting her too.

Biographical and other notes

This story's view of heaven includes art, music, and learning. In the first part of the story the Little Pilgrim spends time with an artist. Margaret Oliphant's husband Frank (who died in 1859) had been an artist - a painter and a designer of stained glass.
